ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
McElhenney was one of many celebrities — including USWNT star Alex Morgan — to put their golf skills to the test at the Farmers Insurance Open Pro-Am. On Tuesday the Wrexham co-owner played 18 holes, nine with world number seven Max Homa and fellow American golfer Sam Ryder. The actor impressed Homa, even if he did ruin his joke.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
While a lot of his time is taken up by acting and running Wrexham alongside Ryan Reynolds, McElhenney has been keeping his golf skills sharp. After meeting him at the Pro-Am event, former PGA Tour golfer Gary Christian tweeted about McElhenney: "Got to catch up with the great Rob McElhenney. Passionate about his golf and beloved Wrexham. Truly great, genuine guy who gets what it is to be a fan first and what teams mean to their cities and towns. Tasty golfer as well!"
